Katina Ceremony 2016

Nov. 4th and 5th

The monks of Buddhi Vihara will end the three-month Vassa retreat on the full moon of October. The robe offering ceremony will be held on the 4th and 5th of November. This email is the formal invitation to all of you to join this noble event.
 
On Friday the 4th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 20 monks will chant Paritta to evoke Blessings to the devotees of the temple.
 
On Saturday, Dana, the Katina robe, extra robes, and monetary donations will be offered to 20 monks.

Nov.05th:
06:00    AM : Bringing the Katina cloth to the temple
06:30    AM : Preparation of the Katina cloth to be sewed
07:30    AM : Offering of Heeldana
10:30    AM : Buddha Puja
11:30    AM : Offering Dana to Maha Sangha
12:30    AM : Lunch for the laity
02:00    PM : Offering of the Katina robe and other gifts to the MahaSangha
03:00    PM : Tea and cleaning
